Best Website
Like the previous years, the greatest number of submissions came for the best website catagory. It is excellent to see what operators are using to get their information across and customers in the door. This year's award goes to Blazer Tag in Austin, Texas. Easy navigation, great images of family fun, and most importantly, laser tag excitement make a great example of what it takes to have a great website. Operator of the Year Winner: Jack Turner - Lazer Blaze - Louisville, KY
There are very few individuals who have done more for the laser tag industry as an operator than Jack Turner. Developers from around the world have come through Lazer Blaze to learn from Jack's operations and what makes his facility so successful. Jack has run Lazer Blaze in Louisville, Kentucky since 1997 and has expanded his business from a simple stand-alone to include an indoor mini-golf and cafe where his staff make their own pizzas. Jack also speaks frequently at Zone Laser Tag's startup seminars on how to increase profits by adding a kitchen and making your own food. His contributions to the ILTA Members Dinners have helped spur many great ideas and innovations for both developers and operators in our industry. Lastly, Lazer Blaze hosts the ILTA's Laser Tag Museum, the world's largest collection of laser tag memorobilia, free of charge. The museum has had visitors from all over the industry come to see the number of laser tag systems and items represented there.
For these reasons, Jack was selected for the 2011 Golden Phaser Award for being Operator of the Year.
The ILTA would like to again thank all the volunteers for their submissions to the 2011 Golden Phaser Awards. If you think that your facility has what it takes to win in next years Golden Phaser Award competition, we're already accepting sumbissions for next years contest!
